Less looking down. More looking up

Why is life so difficult? For most of my life I've been relying on excuses as to why I never really reached my fullest potential. I mean, I'm not dumb, not that lazy, but why do I make things harder for me than they really should be? I think I am frightened to walk through that open door after I'd done everything to turn that knob. The transition period is tough but I think I will make it through. Let's be less insecure. As much as I would like to "change" the world, I will have to change the little things about myself. My professor quoted from someone that "opportunity favors the prepared mind." In that aspect, I'm doing everything I can to be prepared when that door opens and passes me through. Needless to say, I that I walked through it all by myself without even knowing so.

School is too hard, but I can't fail now...

history made today

The first black president! These are historical moments right now with a bunch of significant events occurring. The day I read this in the history books the more I will realize how old I am getting. Reading the 9/11 events was crazy enough. Cheers to a new beginning.
